History Comes Alive
in Flowery Branch

A good story deserves to be told. After completing construction of their new City Hall, Flowery Branch officials seized the opportunity to share the city’s rich history with visitors of all ages through a graphic art display in the building lobby.

Wilson Golden volunteered to lead the Wisdom Project 2030’s Flowery Branch History Project Committee in researching local historical records and resources, including those at the Northeast Georgia History Center, and to develop a display of the hidden gems of Flowery Branch’s history.

“We love the wall and are getting so many wonderful comments.”

Renee Carden, Public Information Officer of Flowery Branch

“I’ve been fascinated with history since I was a kid, so I was excited to have the opportunity to discover and tell the story of this small city, rich in history, in a new and fresh way.”
