August Wisdom Keeper Luncheon

Welcome back to in-person meetings!  Our August meeting will be at 11:00 a.m. at the Northeast Georgia History Center.  Everyone will bring their own lunch and beverage. 

Our presenter will be Glen Kyle, Executive Director of the NE GA History Center, which is dedicated to preserving and sharing our regional history through educational programs, community events, exhibits, and historic structures.  They strive to be a leading resource for promoting a greater understanding of local, state, and national history.  The use a multitude of educational tools, including on-site tours, exhibits, historic exhibits, virtual summer camps, and webisodes.

Chattahoochee River Keepers (CRK) is an environmental advocacy organization dedicated solely to protecting and restoring the Chattahoochee River Basin (CRB). They work through six core program areas: floating classrooms, water planning and conservation, water quality monitoring, enforcement, legislative work, and in-stream trash removal.   Mallory Pendleton, Headwaters Outreach Manager, will share with us how the CRK team deal with the challenges of keeping the CRB as healthy as possible.
